Who We Are
MIICO is a member-based organisation of five organisations working mostly with smallholder farmers in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, focusing on Agricultural sector development. Our members include Action for Development Programmes (ADP-Mbozi), Integrated Rural Development Organisation (IRDO), Kaengesa Environmental Society (KAESO), Tanzania Grass-roots Oriented Development (TAGRODE), and Isangati Agricultural Development Organisation (IADO).
Established in 2002, we are drawn together by our specific interest in empowering communities towards livelihood improvement and poverty reduction. We play a noteworthy role in addressing social, economic, and environmental issues by providing support to community development, advocating for rights, and promoting sustainable development.

Governance & Coordination
MIICO is governed by a Board of Directors composed of seven members who oversee all organisation activities. As a member-led network, the highest decision-making body is the General Assembly. The network is coordinated by a Secretariat team that facilitates the technical, administrative, and financial work to support our membership and Board.
